And even for longstanding, giant studios like EA and Ubisoft, it's not unusual for modern games to be met with frosty reception. But as a games industry newcomer who's also a ubiquitous global giant, Amazon's efforts were judged harshly, not unlike the inhumane response Google has pale-faced on its Stadia labor. For some gamers and industry commentators, Virago's defeats validated the notion that money and scale alone aren't sufficient to break into this famously mercurial creative business.

Until now, perhaps.

Queue issues aside, the path to New World's early success was made-up by two things: these four prominent failures, and the conclusion to check Newfound World four separate times (Crataegus oxycantha 2020 was its firstborn proclaimed freeing day of the month).
